The National Council For Adoption (NCFA) has been designated by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Children’s Bureau as the grantee in Health Region 3 for the Infant Adoption Training Initiative (IATI).
NCFA offers one- and two-day training options. The two-day trainings provide opportunity for advanced study and are designed for supervisors and policymakers within an organization, while the one-day training is for everyone. Lodging and a meal stipend are provided to all participants in a two-day training. Participants in the two-day training also become eligible to host an on-site one-day training. Thirteen (13) and six (6) hours of continuing education are awarded in two- and one-day trainings, respectively.
A free three-hour CD-ROM training is also available.

What trainees are saying ...
I work with high-risk teens. For these girls, many pregnancies are unplanned and unwanted. Just last week, I helped a young mother-to-be in making a decision to make an adoption plan.
